I just got the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death?

Ok, I was playing Gta and it just turned off and it was flashing 3 red rings I got scared so I unpluged everything and its cooling. Im going to wait like 3 hours or something. But If ihave to send it will my harddrive be erased on my 360 because if they send me a new one or a refurnished one my harddrive will not be there. So, I am worried that I wil lose my memory

Hi Mike

The error that you are having is caused by the GPU and the CPU taking too much heat. If you leave it to cool for a little while it might fix it and another good idea is to hoover all the dust out the side and back vents.

If you do have to end up sending it in to Microsoft then they will fix it and send you a refurbished one back, you keep your hard drive with you so you do not send that in.

It takes about 4 or 5 weeks to get it back.
