Gold or silver jewelry with red and white prom dress?

My prom dress is a very elegant, sophisticated white dress with a red bodice which continues and goes all the way down the back. But I can't figure out if I should wear gold jewelry or silver jewelry? If it helps any, my skin tone is pretty light.
Also, on the one hand, I already have some gold jewelry that would go well, but the bracelet and necklace from my boyfriend are silver. So what's your opinion? Silver or gold?

Silver would be best especially during prom time. However, if you are a blond or redhead--gold would probably be more becoming to your skin tones.
