Any dye job is possible. You must use a really good colorist. They will know how to mix the right amounts of color so that no dye job gets botched. But basically follow the color wheel. Using opposites to cancel out the colors you have or don't want. Blue in a dye to cancel out red, etc. Blue would be anything that says Ash stay away from Warm which would have yellows, oranges, and reds.
if you dye your hair dark brown, you can't go straight to blonde be cause the color is so dark its hard to lift the color[dark brown]. either way when you do dye your hair dark brown its gonna get rid of the red immediately. if going to dye your hair blonde you need to bleach it first and deep condition your hair afterwards to repair and prevent the damage to your hair. i hope this helped:]
