I got my cartilage pierced about two weeks ago, and a couple days after it

was swollen, red, and painful...? I watched it for a week then I went to the doctor, and he prescribed some antibiotics. I'm still on them and it looks like it's healing, but out of curiosity, will my ear be the exact same as what it was before? and what is this bump i keep reading about? I feel it but I don't see it because my friend cleans it for me peroxide and warm salt water. Is there anything I could do to remove the bump from now? and will there be any deformity?
