If they are a pale red...more of a reddish tint they may be Pharoah ants attracted to the sweat on the clothes. Combat baits work well against them...they (if they are pharoah ants) are not sugar feeding ants so baits like Terro will not work for them. Avoid spraying what you see for they colony will break up into several new colonies making the problem worse.
